About the position

Position Description

The Theoretical High Energy Group at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP-CAS), Beijing, invites applications for one or more postdoctoral positions, starting in Fall 2027 or earlier, such as spring 2027.

ITP-CAS has a total of 39 faculty members working in theoretical physics, with more than half working on quantum field theory, particle physics, cosmology, and gravity. The postdoctoral position will be hosted within the New Physics and Effective Field Theory Group, whose research focuses on scattering amplitudes, effective field theory, precision calculation, Higgs and collider physics, neutrino physics, dark matter, and particle cosmology.

The initial appointment is for two years, with the high possibility of extension to a third year depending on performance and funding. Candidates are expected to have experience in one or more of the following research areas: scattering amplitudes, effective field theory, precision calculation, collider physics, neutrino physics and dark matter, applications of quantum field theory to particle physics and cosmology.

Outstanding candidates may also be considered for a Research Associate position (at the level of non-tenure-track assistant professor) through the CAS Special Research Assistants Program.

Applicants should submit the following documents through the AJO website:

Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications

Statement of research interests
