About the position
Position Description Duke University Divinity School seeks to appoint the William K. Warren Professor in Catholic Theology, effective July 1, 2027. The position is for a regular-rank member of the Divinity School faculty. The Warren Professor will be a scholar of true eminence in the field of Catholic theology who can provide intellectual leadership in the Divinity School, the wider university, and beyond, and teach in both the residential and hybrid programs. A Ph.D., Th.D., or the equivalent is requisite. The M.Div. degree or equivalent is desirable. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and names of three persons from whom letters of reference may be obtained. Review of applications and nominations will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Please note that Duke specifically seeks information about past misconduct or policy violations (in the past ten (10) years) and/or relevant pending investigations as part of the application process.
