About the position
The Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence within its faculty, staff, and student body. The Division seeks candidates for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions. Selected candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and training, providing clinical care to patients, and/or engaging in research within the Division. The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate’s background and experience. If appointed to a title covered by the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree, an MD/PhD degree, or a PhD in biological sciences or a health-related field. Candidates with an MD or equivalent degree who will have clinical duties must be board eligible or board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism and must hold, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit, as determined by the Medical Board of California.
