About the position

Scripps Research is conducting a broad faculty search for an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in one of the following departments: Chemistry, Immunology & Microbiology, Integrative Structural & Computational Biology, Molecular & Cellular Biology, Translational Medicine, or Neuroscience. We are especially interested in candidates whose research programs combine a multidisciplinary perspective with cutting-edge experimental approaches.

Candidates must have a Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.V.M., or equivalent in a relevant discipline, and an outstanding record of research that demonstrates originality in addressing significant biological questions. Successful candidates will be expected to establish an active research group, be an interactive member of the faculty, and participate in interdisciplinary research and training.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, their Curriculum Vitae, three professional references, a current research statement, and a future research plans statement.

Candidates are also requested to enclose a statement describing how their program can uniquely benefit from resources and expertise available at Scripps Research.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by an interdisciplinary Search Committee. The first round of review will include applications submitted by December 31, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled, or through the close of May 2027. Anticipated start date is Fall 2027.
