About the position

Background of the recruitment and description of the project We are seeking candidates who will advance very-high-energy gamma-ray observational research with the Large-Sized Telescopes (LSTs) of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) and contribute to astrophysics, cosmic-ray physics, astroparticle physics, and multi-messenger astronomy. The successful candidates will also engage in the construction and operation of the LSTs. ※Scope of change: The faculty member may be reassigned, concurrently assigned, or transferred to another position. (In principle, such an order will not be issued against his/her will. For details, please refer to Article 4 of the Regulations Concerning the Employment of University of Tokyo Faculty Members.) Work experience No previous experience in cosmic gamma-ray observation research is required, and applications are widely invited from relevant research fields. Measures for preventing passive smoking at the workplace Second-hand smoke free environment: Smoking is prohibited throughout most of the Kashiwa campus of the University of Tokyo.
