About the position
Academic research, development, and education on space astronomy and astrophysics
The Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) of JAXA conducts spaceflight missions for astronomical research in space with the goals of understanding the origin of matter and spacetime in the universe, exploring the possibility of life in the universe, and elucidating the physics of extreme phenomena in the cosmos. To advance the strategic large-class mission, the Lite satellite for the studies of B-mode polarization and Inflation from cosmic background Radiation Detection (LiteBIRD) project, we are seeking a core researcher who will play a leading role in its development. Under the LiteBIRD project, the focal plane detectors are planned to be developed and manufactured through collaboration with a consortium of European countries. However, JAXA's contributions are indispensable, including the definition of requirements, the formulation of test and evaluation plans, and the execution of integration and compatibility tests with the spacecraft.
