About the position
The Laboratory of Advanced Science and Technology for Industry (LASTI) is expected to be a center of excellence in the research field of photon science and related technologies. Through collaborations with industries, the laboratory prepares a base of advanced engineering in the local area and takes the initiative in creating new industrial technologies. In order to achieve this purpose, we constructed a foremost synchrotron light facility “NewSUBARU”.
Work content and job description
Applications for a position to promote industry-academia collaboration, education, and social contribution activities with Prof. K. Nakanishi using the X-ray absorption spectroscopy beamlines at the NewSUBARU Synchrotron Radiation Facility. Successful candidates will be actively involved in the design and construction of a new synchrotron beamline. While there are no specific field requirements, experience in X-ray analysis is preferred.
The successful candidate will assist with lectures in the field of synchrotron radiation engineering in the School of Engineering, as well as supervise undergraduate students’ senior research projects and graduate students in the Graduate School of Engineering.

Description
・ Master's degree, preferably with Ph. D by arriving date.
・ Have an enthusiasm and experience of supervising undergraduate course students.
・ Possess sufficient Japanese language proficiency to conduct lectures and provide research guidance in Japanese.
