About the position
Doctoral Candidate position at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands
Objectives:
- Design dynamically modulated, on-chip metamaterials for nonreciprocal photonic devices
- Fabricate on-chip structures using advanced nanolithography techniques
- Demonstrate and evaluate nonreciprocal light transport without magnetic fields, and its integration into photonic circuits
During the thesis, the candidate will develop core expertise in the theoretical and numerical design of dynamically modulated structures, on-chip nanolithography fabrication, and experimental characterization of nonreciprocal photonic devices, further strengthened through secondments at INESC MN (component measurements) and PICadvanced (chip-level integration).
Starting date: February 2027
