About the position
Doctoral Candidate position at the Department of Physics, Umeå University, Sweden
Objectives:
- Design metamaterial structures coupled with quantum emitters for ultrafast information processing.
- Control optical and magnetic properties using structured ultrashort light pulses.
- Develop sub-10 fs protocols for all-optical logic operations, data processing, and spatiotemporal magnetic memories.
Develop ultrafast optical logic and memory using spatiotemporal metamaterials. The project includes a 3-month secondment at NKT Photonics for vectorial ultrashort pulses and a 6-month secondment at Imperial College London for nanofabrication and characterization.
Starting date: February 2027
