About the position
About the role The Lecturer will contribute to the intellectual life of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) and wider institution. They will be a member of the Cloud Legal Project* research team and the Technology Law Institute and will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the field of Technology Law. The post-holder will be expected to: - Make important research contributions to the field of technology law; - Advance the research subject through publications; - Deliver quality teaching including making innovations in key aspects of teaching and learning; - Contribute to the administration of CCLS; - Maximise opportunities for public engagement in the subject. The post is based at the Lincoln Inn’s Field Campus in London. It is a full-time (35 hours per week), indefinite appointment with an expected start date of January 2027. * The Cloud Legal Project has received monies from a range of public and private sources, including a multi-year academic donation from Microsoft Corporation. About You You should have an excellent academic background and publications record in the field of technology law, together with relevant postgraduate degrees. Experience of teaching technology law at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. About the School/Department/Institute/Project CCLS is international in its research and teaching. Our full-time staff come from all over the world, and, along with support from practitioners, judges and regulators, teach some 900 graduate students from 80 countries. CCLS offers more than 200 courses on all aspects of commercial law, including arbitration, banking, finance, intellectual property, international trade, media, communications, shipping, insurance, regulation, ethics, and tax.
