Postdoctoral Geometry 15 Nov 2026

About the position

Position Description

We are inviting applications for up to five postdoctoral
positions funded by the Targeted Simons Research Group on Decoding the
Quantum Rosetta Stone, which aims to connect modern amplitudes methods
with integrability techniques and solve planar maximally supersymmetric
Yang-Mills theory. The Principal Investigators of the Research Group are Nima Arkani-Hamed
(Director), Fernando Alday, Benjamin Basso, Lance Dixon, Jaroslav Trnka,
and Anastasia Volovich.

These are 2+1 year positions, where the first two years will be spent
at one of the member institutions (Oxford, ENS Paris, UC Davis, or
Brown) and one year will be spent at the Institute for Advanced Study
(IAS). The center of mass of the collaboration is the IAS, where
interactions between members of the collaboration will be facilitated
through regular meetings.

The ideal candidate should be an expert in the field with an extensive,
proven track record of successful work on amplitudes, integrability, or
related areas—such as positive geometry, cosmological correlators,
string amplitudes, CFT correlators, and perturbative QCD amplitudes. Applicants should have the drive and ambition to make major discoveries
in this field.

Applicants are asked to submit their CV, research statement, and three
reference letters by November 15, 2026, via AcademicJobsOnline. Apply to job [MEMQRS #32868] MEMBER Decoding the Quantum Rosetta Stone by clicking on this link. The research
statement should include the applicant's motivation for joining the
collaboration as well as their future research plans.

Inquiries regarding the application process may be sent to Michelle Sage, michelle@ias.edu
