About the position
Postdoc in Cyber-Physical Security for Smart Grids
As power systems become more digitalised and rely increasingly on synchronised measurements, protecting monitoring data and communications is essential for reliable grid operation. The research will focus on threats such as time-synchronisation attacks and manipulation of monitoring data in wide-area monitoring systems, characterization of their impact on system operation, and their timely detection using machine learning algorithms. The postdoc will develop methods for detection and resilience, and collaborate with an international team to validate them in cyber-physical power-system scenarios.
