About the position
Position Description
The Department of Physics at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a starting date in Fall 2027 or earlier.
A successful applicant will work in collaboration with Prof. Daniel Parker's group, and would be encouraged to interact with other members of the department. This position is a full-time two-year appointment, renewable for a third year by mutual agreement. Candidates are particularly encouraged to apply if they have strong background relating to: strongly correlated phases in two dimensional systems (moiré materials, fractional quantum Hall effects, electron crystals, etc); topological phases of matter; quantum geometrical effects; and quantum many-body numerics (especially tensor network methods or variational Monte Carlo/neural quantum states).
Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
