Recruitment for Associate Professor ( Faculty of Molecular Chemistry and Engineering, Field of Biochemical Engineering )

With the rapid advancement of biomanufacturing and biopharmaceutical technologies, there is an increasing demand for innovative process development based on the design and control of biomolecules and molecular assemblies. In particular, engineering research focusing on molecular design, self-assembly, and biointerface control of bioconjugates, biointerfaces, and molecular assemblies has emerged as an important frontier in biochemical engineering. Against this background, the Faculty of Molecular Chemistry and Engineering invites applications for an Associate Professor position from researchers specializing in Biochemical Engineering who are capable of promoting engineering research on biointerface control and molecular assembly control.

Work content and job description
Work in:
Education, research, and international expansion in the fields of biochemical engineering.
Supervision of students in the above specialized fields.
Subjects to be taught:
Undergraduate and graduate classes in chemical engineering and biochemical engineering.

Work experience

• This application should be activity engaged in the undergraduate and graduate education in Japanese and English.
• This application should have sufficient experience and a proven track record in teaching chemical engineering and biochemical engineering.
• This application should have expertise in the Biochemical Engineering and to promote fundamental and/or applied engineering research on the design and functional control of biomolecules, as well as the control of biointerfaces and molecular assemblies. Through these activities, the candidate is expected to advance engineering research on the design, production, and functionalization of biomolecules and contribute to the bioindustry.
