Research Associate Postdoctoral

Stanford University SLAC HEP Theory Group Menlo Park, United States

About the position

Position Description The SLAC Elementary Particle Physics Theory group may have 1-2 Research Associate (Postdoctoral Position) appointments for a 3-year term beginning October 1, 2027 or earlier. The senior members of our group are: Miguel Correia, Lance Dixon, Alexander Friedland, Rebecca Leane, Bernhard Mistlberger, Thomas Rizzo, Philip Schuster and Natalia Toro. The interests of our group cover all areas of particle physics, quantum field theory/amplitudes, and the interface of particle physics and astro-particle physics. Prior to starting the position, successful applicants must provide evidence of a PhD degree in theoretical physics, or confirmation of completion of the PhD degree requirements. We have strong ties to experimental groups interested in high energy collider physics and particle astrophysics, as well as to theoretical groups at Stanford University and the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology. Applications should include a cover letter, a CV, a statement of research interests, a publication list and the names of three senior physicists who will provide letters of recommendation. SLAC is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer. We should receive your application before November 15, 2026. https://theory.slac.stanford.edu/
