About the position

We are seeking a scholar to join the Department of Global Studies. The Department of Global Studies is an innovative English-medium undergraduate program that prepares students to become globally minded leaders and changemakers. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum integrating international relations, economics, business, sustainability, and community engagement, students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to address complex global challenges.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute through both teaching and research and to actively participate in the department's academic and administrative activities throughout the year.

Duties:
•Teaching, research, admissions-related work, and university service.
•Expected teaching load: at least 10 courses per year (5 courses each semester).
•All courses are taught in English and may include:
-Global Negotiations
-International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law
-Law in the Digital Age
-Conflict Resolution
-Japan–U.S. Relations
-International Politics and East Asia
-Security Studies

Official qualification in specific field, etc.
Ability to teach in English, with teaching experience at a university or equivalent institution.
An active research agenda in the relevant field of specialization.
Must have sufficient Japanese language ability to perform university duties, including entrance examination-related responsibilities.
Expertise in the required research field.

Selection
First stage: Document screening.
